Superintendent
Overview
The superintendent will effectively provide overall leadership for the entire construction process. The superintendent will coordinate and implement the work in the field and utilize their diverse knowledge of construction to ensure a project is either on or ahead of schedule. Must have the ability to adapt to changes that may arise by any given circumstance and think outside the box to re-sequence work to maintain the project schedule. Must ensure that quality is provided by all trades, and that time, cost, quality and above all, client satisfaction, is achieved and recognized.
Primary ResponsibilIties
- Act as primary leader of subcontractors and field personnel on job site
- Manage project budget and activities to meet or beat project milestones
- Inspect construction site daily
- Enforce job site safety and rectify job site hazards
- Maintain project safety in accordance with company safety policy
- Lead weekly meetings with subcontractors
- Develop and update project schedules
- Produce look-ahead schedules
- Help set up inspections, obtain documents and ensure quality work prior to inspection
- Request and write RFI’s, review submittals and ensure execution
- Communicate regularly with all team members, clients and stakeholders
- Adhere to all company policies and procedures
- Other duties as required
Qualifications
- Minimum of 7 years of experience in commercial construction project management
- Outstanding organizational and time management skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

Overview
The project manager will determine and implement the exact needs of the client, utilizing the diverse construction knowledge within E.E. Reed Construction. The project manager will be responsible for planning, directing and coordinating projects on a daily basis. Must possess the ability to adapt to the various internal company procedures, and to form close links with the key project representatives to ensure that cost, time, quality and client satisfaction can be realized.
Primary ResponsibilIties
- Capable of being involved in every phase of a project, including pre-construction, start-up and close-out
- Write and issue change order requests
- Prepare and track monthly budget and reports
- Request and write RFI’s, review submittals and ensure execution
- Build and manage construction schedules
- Communicate with superintendent to ensure all conditions of the contract are being met and there is efficient and effective utilization of labor, materials, plant, and equipment within the allocated budgets
- Ensure that a highly skilled and disciplined workforce is maintained within a safe system of work by subcontractors
- Ability to travel to multiple sites and effective time management
- Prepare subcontractor agreements and final close out documentation
- Resolve issues with subcontractors and suppliers not handled in the field
- Communicates and works closely with safety and quality control team to ensure full compliance on the job site.

- Possess a desire to grow
- Has a valid driver’s license
