E.E. Reed Savannah In the News!: Cane Bay YMCA Groundbreaking

From The Post and Courier article, May 22, 2017:

“The privately funded, $24 million project will include a wellness center, gym, indoor jogging track, pickleball courts, meeting spaces and a 25-yard indoor pool. The building will be surrounded by multipurpose fields, courts and trails.

“This state-of-the-art facility will create unmatched recreation and educational opportunities in Berkeley County,” said county Supervisor Bill Peagler. “This is a great addition to an already wonderful community and will further enhance the quality of life for residents of all ages.”

“Everything fell into place at the right time, although maybe not so much for people living in that community who have been waiting,” said Paul Stoney, president and CEO of the YMCA of Greater Charleston. “But we would rather have it take a little longer and give the community what is going to be of the most impact as opposed to rush it and not have the quality that we would like to have.”

Press Release: Alex Gutenson Promoted to Vice President

E.E. Reed is pleased to announce the promotion of Mr. Alex Gutenson, LEED AP, to Vice President.  He has spear-headed the growth and success of E.E. Reed’s Data Center construction group, with over 750,000 square feet recently completed for confidential high profile clients.  This promotion builds on his work as Senior Project Manager with E.E. Reed since 2011 and over 23 years of industry experience.

“Joining the E.E. Reed Team was one of the best moves of my career because I became part of one of the most experienced teams in the industry.  From this foundation, we have been able to attract and retain the best talent in the industry which has led to securing numerous projects and developing strong relationships with some of the most active clients, especially in the data center sector.  It is a pleasure to build every day at E.E. Reed and I look forward to leading this exceptional team into the future and delivering the best possible service to all of our existing and future clients.” – Alex Gutenson

The data center division has leveraged E.E. Reed’s in-house concrete operation and expertise in tilt-wall construction to mobilize quickly and perform efficiently – two keys to client success during this sector’s rapid regional growth.  Six members of the construction group received their Certified Data Center Management Certificates on November 30, 2016.

Since 1976, E.E. Reed Construction, L.P. has steadily grown to become a contractor recognized for steadfast performance, unparalleled professionalism and exceptional results.  Working as a cohesive unit with our clients and consultants, E.E.
